Jewelry in my life

This site is all about my daily adventures in the amazing and colorful jewelry world.

I have always liked jewelry – actually, the verb “like” instead of “love” is an understatement, I used it just because the latter feels kind of stereotyped. I have memories of spending my weekly allowance on tiny silver rings and charms, at some jewelry shop between the bus stop and home, when I was a teenager. Later, I discovered fashion magazines and the whole world of jewelry just exploded, opening a totally different page in my gold-related affections. I could actually make a chronology of my brand discoveries and it would read like the history of jewelry brands throughout the 80s and 90s to the present days. Just a taste: Cartier’s Trinity ring was probably one of the most visible pieces of jewelry in those days, in my mind Bulgari’s coin and yellow gold necklaces still embody the spirit of the 80s and Paloma Picasso’s heart knot pendant is forever attached to a particular moment during my 2-year stint living in Chicago (early 90s). Ahhh, and those lovely mismatched earrings that Sharon Stone wore in Basic Instinct… were they Robert Lee Morris? Well, you get the vibe.

Recently, I decided to act on this “liking” by importing it into my daily life. This website is one of the resulting projects.

So, here I am, sharing away my daily thoughts, findings, inspirations and more, with you.
